AmazonBasics 8-Sheet High-Security Micro-Cut Shredder Review in 4K

Micro-Cut Shredder Order – http://goo.gl/04lBOz

This AmazonBasics micro-cut paper shredder is a must for any security-conscious individual. It makes tiny pieces of paper that would be very difficult to reassemble, unlike older paper shredders that simply make strips of paper. It will also shred credit cards, CDs, DVDs, Blu-Rays and other compact discs! It can shred multiple pieces of paper at a time and that is very convenient. At the time of posting this I’ve shredded a stack of paper about 3 feet tall and have encountered no issues! I would highly recommend this micro-cut shredder. The AmazonBasics brand is great! Intro portion filmed with GoPro HERO4 Black. Contains royalty-free music from YouTube Content Creator Audio Library.

… What about staples? CDs? Testing how many pages it can actually get up to? Also, those magazine pages are thinner than normal paper anyway.

So glad I’m upgrading to microcut – our shredder bugged me due to the lack of security. Anyone could glue strip cut pieces together. Hell, have fun gluing micro-cut pieces together. They’re seriously going to have to have tons of patience and desperate to glue those fine cut micro-cut pieces together. I loved your video and you’ve made me to decided to definitely get micro cut shredder.

Can this machine shred plastic packaging?

John Galt says:

Will it shred an UN-opened letter with a bunch of papers in it? THAT is what everyone wants to know.

John Doe says:

For even more security, add some junk paper of the same type. That will make it even more unlikely to be pieced back together. For example, if you shredded old bills add some junk photo copies that have text on them. Waste paper from a laser printer will work also. If you live in a place where you are allowed to burn (like where I live) you can burn it also but shredding makes it much less likely that it would be useful for some nefarious purpose if it blew away was not burned. It may help to get a good hot fire going and bag the shredded paper to throw in at the right time.

You do realize that warning sticker is just there because they don’t want someone burning their house down with the shredder and suing them? The motors used in many of these smaller shredders have brushes that can create sparks when they are running. They are concerned about a chance that these sparks may ignite any oil of the incorrect type used in their shredders. Most penetrating oils are very easy to catch on fire with all the petroleum distillates that are used in them. Even if the oils didn’t cause a fire in the shredder there is a good chance of them voiding a warranty if a shredder is sent to them and they find the wrong oil on the blades and it is found to be a cause of premature failure.
