QUESTION # 2: IF I USE FAX DOES FAX REQUIRE A DIFFERENT TEL #, I WILL BE USING EITHER VOICE OR FAX NOT BOTH @ THE SAME TIME?
QUESTION # 3DOES OBHAI REQUIRE POWER FROM USB PORT OR 120V OR 230 V overseas WALL OUTLET

Tech-Know Scope says:

For users of the older Obi100 and Obi110:

“Dear OBi100 and OBi110 Customers,

Google is in the process of upgrading the Google Voice service to a new platform. With that, Google will end support for their old voice platform. Based on this, and the fact your OBi100 or OBi110 device can only work with the old Google Voice platform, the Google Voice service will no longer work on your OBi1 Series device(s). In fact, as Google updates to the new platform and moves away from the old platform, many of you may have already been impacted by the migration. E.g. Your OBi100 or OBi110 has stopped working with Google Voice.

Fortunately, the OBi2 Series devices (OBi200, OBi202, OBi212) are available to take the place of the venerable OBi1 Series. The OBi2 Series is fully supported and capable of using Google Voice as a service. We understand with all change comes concern. Don’t worry. The transition to the OBi2 Series is as easy as making a phone call. Look below for how to move your Google Voice service and, if you have one, an Anveo E911 service to a new OBi2 Series device.” – Obihai

MARK K. says:

Virgil Seaber III says:

I helped friend of mine set up an Obi 200 & Google Voice account a few months ago. Last week she purchased a Google Pixel cell phone and choose to activate it with Google’s Project Fi carrier service. When she did this, her Obihai with Google Voice account was switched to Project Fi and she could no longer make of receive phone calls with her “landline” phone connected to the Obi 200. It was too late to create a second Google account and port over her Google Voice phone number. Do you have any advice on how to restore her Google Voice & Obi200 setup without cost?

To NY says:

Riverrstone says:

Does google voice/obihi support name and number display?

The Silent Observer says:

I only had a home phone just because I don’t always want to use my cell phone, or may have it charging, or may have had to drop it for a month to save some money. So, keeping the home phone around as a backup makes sense, especially when it is free in the first place.

Was paying almost $13 /month for Basic Talk.

Badass Uchiha says:

Oh so calling to Canada or Mexico isn’t free.

Jeep Renegade says:

I have the Obihai Obi200 and love it.  I keep a cell phone charged to use for 911 calls.  Any cell phone, even without a sim card installed will allow you to call 911 for free.

Dorthy Moreland says:

can I set up a different number for port 2

moshe2002 says:

oh my god
the music is so good i think i will watch this video till i die from blood coming off my ears

jrc061 1 says:

How can I connect an IP phone to this? Can I just connect it to either the lan port or the internet port? If not, I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how to as I am going to get this along with a grandstream ip phone.
