IKEA SKARSTA Sit Stand Desk Review | Cool Sh!t You Should Get

Here is my review on the Skarsta desk from IKEA. It uses a hand crank to raise and lower the desk.

Desk from IKEA: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S29084966/

I was also considering this crackable standing desk from Amazon for only $200 if you don’t live by an IKEA. Prime shipping is available for it: http://amzn.to/291jvFL

Nice review, I just bought this, but my desk is really noisy and vibrates like crazy when being raised/lowered. Any ideas what the problem is?

Gemini Saga says:

it is too wide

dsouzand says:

could you attach a drill to the crank to raise and lower it?

Don Harris says:

Which top did you get? Do you find that the the desk is stable when raised? I like that secondary shelf you have for the Monitor. Is that available at Ikea or is it DIY?

in4moon says:

hey nice review, and great setup! Could you give exact dimensions of the top? Or maybe IKEA link? Did you have to drill any new mounting holes in the frame, after you cut it?

Kevin Pressley says:

where did you get the grass mat from?
